The Northeastern Berks Food Pantry, run by Friend, Inc. Community Services in Kutztown, has been open since 1988. Over the years there have been many changes from location to switching to a Client Choice pantry.
With a client choice pantry, the recipients have much more control over the food they receive, creating much less waste, and a higher amount of help for the client family.
The pantry is open once a month, on the Third Thursday evening, beginning at 5 PM.
